What requirements do I need to meet, and how can I get it?


To obtain this visa, you need to meet some requirements. Firstly, the applicant must have a valid passport until the end of their stay in Brazil. Additionally, they need to fill out the online application form. Other required documents include a recent 2x2 photograph with a white background, a criminal background check issued in the last three months, a certified copy of the birth certificate, and health insurance valid in Brazilian territory.


To prove your Digital Nomad status, you need to present documents showing a minimum monthly income of $1,500.00 or an available balance of at least $18,000.00 in a checking or savings account. This proof can be provided through an employment contract or service agreement signed by a foreign employer, accompanied by a personal statement attesting to the ability to carry out professional activities remotely.


The visa application fee is R$ 290.00, and additional documents may be requested at the discretion of the consular authority.


Can I extend my stay in Brazil and renew the visa?


Furthermore, if you're interested in renewing the visa, it's possible by submitting the required documents along with a copy of the National Migratory Registration Card (CRNM) and a new criminal background check. The renewal allows staying for another 1 (one) year in the country.
